Welcome to RaidRoulette ("we," "our," or "us"). RaidRoulette is a third-party service that integrates with Twitch and Discord to help streamers discover collaboration partners. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

2. Twitch Integration & OAuth

RaidRoulette uses Twitch OAuth for authentication. When you sign in with Twitch, we receive and store the following data from Twitch:

  • Profile Information: Your Twitch username, display name, profile image, and account ID.
  • Email Address: Used for account identification and communication.
  • Channel Information: Your channel description, follower count, and streaming category (to help match you with compatible streamers).

We also request permission to perform actions on your behalf through the Twitch API:

  • Initiate Raids: When you use the "Raid Now" feature, we send a raid request to Twitch on your behalf.
  • Send Chat Messages: Optionally, we can send a branded message to your chat when you raid another streamer.

You can revoke RaidRoulette's access to your Twitch account at any time through your Twitch Connections settings.

3. Discord & Twitch Integration

RaidRoulette uses Discord voice channels and Twitch Stream Together for collaboration sessions. When you connect your accounts or use these features:

  • Discord User ID: Used to create private voice channels for matched streamers on our dedicated Discord server.
  • Voice Channel Activity: We track whether you've joined a Discord voice channel to coordinate your collaboration.
  • Twitch Stream Together: When using Twitch Stream Together, we facilitate the connection but Twitch handles the actual stream session.

4. Data We Collect Directly

In addition to data received from Twitch and Discord, we collect:

  • Profile Preferences: Games you play, your streaming vibe, timezone, viewer bracket, and collaboration preferences.
  • Collaboration History: Records of raids, collab requests, and ratings you give or receive.
  • Usage Data: How you interact with our platform, including matches viewed and features used.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information, and access times for security and analytics.

5. How We Use Your Data

  • Matchmaking: To find compatible streamers based on your games, vibe, schedule, and preferences.
  • Facilitating Collaborations: To initiate raids and create Discord voice channels or facilitate Twitch Stream Together sessions.
  • Trust & Safety: To display ratings, track reports, and enforce our community guidelines.
  • Service Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our platform.
  • Communication: To send you notifications about matches, collabs, and important updates.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data in the following circumstances:

  • With Other Users: Your public profile (username, games, vibe, collab stats) is visible to other registered users for matchmaking purposes.
  • With Twitch: When you use raid features or Twitch Stream Together, we send requests to Twitch's API on your behalf.
  • With Discord: When creating voice channels for collaboration sessions on our dedicated Discord server.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party service providers for authentication, data storage, and hosting, who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain certain information for legal or safety purposes (such as reports or blocked user records).

You have the right to:

  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Revoke Access: Disconnect RaidRoulette from your Twitch and Discord accounts at any time.
